Most people either do not know how or just don’t put in the effort to make their blogs work. In this section we will take you through all the finner points of blogging.
We always find it amazing that people who try to tell you about how great their product is about blogging use static web pages and then try and sell you a pdf.
People who try and sell courses on blogging use other software to explain how to set up a blog.
Well we here at blogging empires we believe that we should practice what we preach. This is all the little things we do that very few other people tell you.
1. Overview - A general look at what we will be doing in this series and some helpful suggestions.
2. CSS and Scripts - This part breaks into 9 sections and is straight from wordpress itself however I have added a couple of videos to explain it in easier terms for you. It was hard to find so we put it in here so you dont have to go searching.
3. Graphics - there are a number of places where you will add graphics to your blog. Hey they just make it more attractive and some eye candy for your visitors. Used properly they can make the reader feel more at ease that you know what you are doing. Expands with resources.
4. Affiliates - more on affiliate programs and how to set up your own. Unfortunately I have not found a good plugin for this yet but when I do you will be the first to know.
5. Auto Blogging and Content - This is pretty secret as not many people know it however we will show you in this tutorials how to publish great content all on auto pilot. We then go further and show you a lot of places to get content for you blogs.
6. Desktop Blogging - Logging into your blog everytime you want to make a post can be time consuming so this section shows you how to do it from your desktop. We use it a lot for our accommodation and Photoshop blogs.
7. Blogs as CMS - Content Management systems are a great way to sell products, set up membership sites like this one or run a business. We will show you exactly how to do it. We read hundreds of articles and looked at numerous tutorials but in the end we had to set up our own system because everyone left out little bits. We even had to develop our own drop down menu systems for corporate sites. You get them all.
8. RSS Autoresponder - This is a newish product on the market however we have been using it very effectively and linked it with our auto blogging. We will show you how to get a free account and set up your blog on auto pilot for a whole year if you want.
9. Multimedia - is what I call the fun stuff but it can also be very powerful. In this tutorial we show you how to add audio, video and the flash powerpoint slides you see above. I have moved to advanced but you can access it here..
10. Driving Traffic - If you have put into practice what we have shown you already then traffic is not a problem. Here are 25 more tips on how to generate traffic. W did a test while we were setting up this program and below are our stats. We did not do a lot of promotion and it is all from free traffic. We set up this site on Photoshop in late June. Today is the 19th of August so just on two months and we are getting about 2000 visitors a month. It wained off a bit at the end when we went into full production of Blogging Empires. We will keep you updated.
