Content Plugins
In this section I am going to give you some of the plugins I use for content. These are mainly to enhance the content in some way. If you not sure how to load a plugin go to the front Plugin page and watch the presentation.

Cryptograph - Download (283 Ko)
This is probably one of the most important for any blogger wanting comments or or people to interact with a form of some kind. Cryptographp is a PHP script for generate captchas. Cryptographp limit the robots bombarding spams and automating the forms: spaces members subscriptions, guestbooks, forums…
This script is free and does not use any database. It is compatible with PHP >= 4.3.0
This plugin allows you to add a captcha before anyone could post a comment. The captcha can be easily configured in the options of the Wordpress admin section. Here are some examples.

Simply download the zip file and load like any other plugin and then go to options and configure. Once your happy simply copy the code into your comments file and no more spam. The comments file is in your presentation/theme menu. Dont be saredwithh all the code. Justopen your comments file and go to the bottom and under where it says form (you can do a search) paste the code. <?php display_cryptographp(); ?>
Now all your comments have a captura which will cut down on spam and silly commenter’s.

Secure and Accessible PHP Contact Form - Having a secure contact on your page is essential and this is one I found a few months ago. It is totally configurable and looks good to with quite a few skins. Have a look at ours here.
Form Plugin Installation
This form is simple to install and can be done in a matter of minutes. The following steps will guide you through the process:
- Unpack the *.zip file and extract the
/wp-gbcf/folder andwp-gbcf_readme.txtfile. - Using an FTP program, upload the
/wp-gbcf/folder to your WordPress plugins directory (Example:/wp-content/plugins/). - In the sub-directory,
/wp-gbcf_themes/, using FTP or your server admin panel, change the permission of the CSS theme files to 666, but you’ll only do this if you’ll want to edit them. - Open your WordPress Admin panel and go to the “Plugins” page. Locate the “Secure and Accessible PHP Contact Form” plugin and click on the “Activate” link.
- Once activated, go to the “Contact Form” page and select the “Configuration” link on the sub-menu. If you need help, review the “Form Configuration Instructions.” You won’t be able to enter the URL yet, though.
- Once configured as much as you can, go to the “Write” page and click the “Write Page” If using a default page template give it a name like “Contact Page,” for example.
- Now go back to the “Configuration” page and add the URL of your newly-created form page. “Save” your changes.
- Now go to “Manage” and click on “Edit Pages” link on the sub-menu. Then locate your contact page and click on the “Edit” link to the right of it.
- With the page file open, add this code
<!–gb_contact_form–>to the text area and “Save” the page. - That’s it, you’re about done. The form will be on the new page you created and should be ready for use and a link to the page will be on your Web Log’s Pages’ navigation menu.
- Test your new form. If you encounter problems, review the “Form Configuration Instructions” and “Helpful FAQs” provided.
- To style your form, select the “Styling” link. There you may select one of the ready-made themes (designed for specific popular WordPress themes), use no theme, or create your own using the style sheet editor provided.

Note: There is also an alternate templating method of installation. A little more involved but better in its flexibility. Most of you don’t need this unless you are really into playing with them. The default works fine. Maybe just change the skin to suit your site.
Auto Blogging WP Omatic - Download - (67kb)
WP-o-Matic is a Wordpress plugin that will allow you to create posts automatically from feeds. With its simple interface, you just type in the feed url, select in which categories you want to create the posts, and you’re ready to go.

Features
WP-o-Matic aims to provide all the features you can find in Autoblogger PRO software, which retails for $299. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Multiple feeds / categories: it’s possible to add as many feeds as you want, and add them to as many categories as you want. It’s not obtrusive, so you can also write your own posts to any of those categories.
- Every form of XML syndication supported. This includes RSS 0.91 and RSS 1.0 formats, the popular RSS 2.0 format, and the emerging Atom.
- Unix cron and Wordpress cron jobs For maximum performance, you can make the RSS fetching process be called by a Unix cron job, or simply let Wordpress handle it.
- Comfortable interface. The admin is powered by a state of the art ajaxy interface that lets you handle your feeds with ease.
When it comes out of beta, WP-o-Matic will support:
- Images caching/resizing Optionally host the images yourself, or resize them to fit your blog design.
- Words Rewriting. Want to replace the word “Poker” with “Texas Hold’em”? We’ll have it covered
- Words Relinking. Define custom links for words you specify.
- Post templating. Define a global header and footer for the posts, or even for a specific feed.
- Advanced Filters. Just drop a file in the filters/ folder, and every time a post is created, a custom function can be called. You can modify the post content or do some other action, like emailing your mother.
Installation Instructions
Unzip wpomatic-0.2beta.zip in wp-content/plugins/ and enable it. Chmod 777 wpomatic.log.php if you are going to enable logging. Then go to options and click on the Wp-Omatic menu.
Warning - before adding someones feed check the copyright as many bloggers do not like you publishing their feeds.
Slideshare - Download - (2kb)Now you can add Slideshare.net slideshows to your Wordpress blogs.
Install
Drop the slideshare.php file into your wp-content/plugin and activate it. If you are running Wordpress MU just drop it in the wp-content/plugins-mu directory.
Usage
Slideshows and PowerPoint presentations from Slideshare.net can be embedded into your blog posts and pages via a Slideshare short code. Short codes can be found by going to any slideshow on the Slideshare site and copying the following embed code:
The code can then be pasted into any blog post or page to make the slideshow show up. Make sure you remove the = and leave a space if it doesn’t work straight off. You have seen them on this site so here is one just for fun.
