Get Organized
In this section I want to go through a few things to help you get organized. Statistics show that people loose up to 30% of their productive work time because they fail to organize their work flow properly and use the wrong tools to get jobs done.
Folders
Lets start at the very beginning. Before you even start working try and organize the folders on your computer, in your emails and also in your browser. By doing this you will be able to find files quickly and work smarter.
The important thing is to give your folders names you can remember so that if you do forget you can do a search and find them easily.
Software
Most of our blogging doesn’t require you to have any special software however there are a few tools that will also help your work flow.
- Firefox - Download
If you like using IE thats fine however Firefox is becoming very popular and I use it all the time. It is good to have it just to check and see what it will look like in this browser. The main reason I use it is that you add add all sorts of functions through plugins and extensions. When you go to the site look at the the tutorials.- FileZilla - Download
This is an FTP program and we have a video on how to use it later. Basically what an FTP program does is lets you access your server that hosts your websites and lets you move files from your computer to the server.- 7 Zip - Download
This is just a simple zip and unzip program. Lots of people use winzip but the program is huge and this is a great free alternative.

avast! 4 Home Edition Download
